A COAD is not an operational entity – it is a coordinating entity to streamline, avoid duplication of efforts, and facilitate communication.
Volunteer Organizations Active in a Disaster or VOAD provides the opportunities for organizations to share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle—preparation, response and recovery—to help disaster survivors and their communities. We are a county level organization.
The Executive Committee leads the MCCOAD by setting priorities, outlining goals, and appointing other officers.
Members of the Liaison Committee assist with response during an activation.
The membership committee completes outreach to new members and communicates updates to current members.
